Peru Menstrual Project!

Hi everyone! During our medical service trip to Piura, Peru, we had the opportunity to visit the girls home to distribute the one year's worth of menstrual products that you all helped us provide. This girls home is a safe place for young girls that live far in the pueblos outside of Piura to receive an education. During our visit last Friday, we spoke to the girls about We R Women and encouraged them to find a cause they feel passionately about and uplift each other. Then, one of the girls, Susie, and her friends gave us a tour of their home and school. Finally, we played a spirited volleyball game filled with laughter and fun. Spending the morning with these young girls and hearing their stories and interests was amazing! With this being our first main project, we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to travel to Peru to advocate for female health on a global level.
